Peacemaker is Ready to ‘Kill for Peace’ in New DC Finest Collection

Peacemaker’s never-before-reprinted comics debut and plenty of the Charlton Comics character’s initial transition into the DC Universe are collected in the new DC Finest: Kill for Peace edition.

Kill for Peace collects Chris Smith’s first appearance in the back of The Fightin’ Five #40-41 and his brief five-issue Charlton solo series from 1967.

The character enters the DC Universe in mid-80s in the Peacemaker #1-4 mini-series, and appearances in Checkmate #16-26, 28, and 32-33, Suicide Squad #27-30, Vigilante #37-38 and 41-43, and Eclipso #11-13.

All stories are written by co-creator Joe Gill, Paul Kupperberg, John Ostrander, Kim Yale, and Robert Loren Fleming, with art by co-creator Pat Boyette, Rick Hoberg, Al Vey, Steve Erwin, Bill Jaaska, Michael Bair, Tom Grindberg, John Statema, Gabriel Morrissette, Randy DuBurke, John K. Snyder III, Pablo Marcos, Tod Smith, Rick Magyar, Audwynn Jermaine Newman, and Ray Kryssing.

DC Finest: Peacemaker: Kill for Peace consists of 640 pages for a suggested retail price of $39.99.
