The third edition of the earliest adventures of Spider-Man returns to stores right on time for Spidey’s 60th anniversary.
Spider-Man fans looking to celebrate their favorite character’s 60th birthday may want to examine Marvel’s Spider-Man: A History and Celebration of the Web-Slinger, Decade by Decade this fall for a plethora of behind-the-scenes anecdotes, comic art and images, and rare interviews pertaining to the life and times of the wall-crawling hero.
The re-release of 2018’s Spider-Man No More Epic Collection starts off the Romita era with the Green Goblin storyline that established him as Spider-Man’s arch foe and was also reportedly the last straw for original Amazing Spider-Man artist Steve Ditko.
In addition to Spidey, Thor, and Ant-Man, the collection also represents early issues of the Incredible Hulk, Fantastic Four, and a variety of Marvel’s Sci-Fi, Western, and Romance comics.
The inaugural volume of Marvel and TASCHEN’s new line of over-sized, premium classic comic collections will be The Marvel Comics Library: Spider-Man. Vol. 1. 1962–1964, featuring the first 21 stories of Stan Lee and Steve Ditko’s run.
