The Avengers are ‘Under Siege’ in New Epic Collection

The frequently collected Avengers: Under Siege storyline is once again available in a new Epic Collection printing.

Under Siege collects stories originally published from 1986 to 1987 in The Avengers #264-277, Alpha Flight #39, The Avengers Annual #15 and Avengers West Coast Annual #1.

All stories are written by Roger Stern, Bill Mantlo, Danny Fingeroth, Jim Shooter, Mark Bright, and Steve Englehart, with art by John Buscema, Tom Palmer, David Ross, Whilce Portacio, Steve Ditko, Klaus Janson, Mark Bright, and Geof Isherwood.

The main event in the reissued Epic Collection (first available in 2016) features Baron Zemo’s Masters of Evil assault on Avengers Mansion, featuring some of the greatest battles in the history of the series.

Other highlights in Under Siege include: fallout from Secret Wars II, a battle between Kang and Immortus, controversy over The Sub-Mariner’s Avengers membership, Attuma’s attack on Atlantis, and more trouble with the temperamental Quicksilver.

The “Under Siege” storyline was originally collected in a trade paperback in 1998, followed up by a hard cover edition in 2010, and as part of the rare the Avengers Earth’s Mightiest Hard Cover Box Set in 2019.

The Avengers: Under Siege Epic Collection consists of 456 pages for a suggested retail price of $49.99.
