Writer Al Ewing and artist Javier Rodríguez will re-team for another five-issue Defenders mini-series, Defenders: Beyond, this June featuring a brand-new eclectic lineup of heroes not normally associated with the traditional “non-team”.
Each issue of the four issue series will focus on a different Ant-Man, starting with the original man to don the helmet, Hank Pym.
For such a momentous occasion befitting a celebration in the hallowed halls of Valhalla, Thor alumni have been invited back to tell tales from their time writing and illustrating the hammer wielding hero.
Al Ewing and Stefano Caselli begin the strife in X-Men Red #1 this April, putting Storm, Magneto, Sunspot, Abigail Brand, Cable, Vulcan, and a host of Arakkonian natives into a complex political and militaristic situation.
Reader can look for the new Venom series in November and also get a preview of the new creative team’s take on the popular character on August 14 as a part of this year’s Free Comic Book Day.
Ewing is joined by artists Juan Frigeri and Valerio Schiti for the event, which kicks off with the July issues of Guardians of the Galaxy #16 and S.W.O.R.D. #7.
