The team once known as the West Coast Avengers, and now referred to as Avengers West Coast, get the prestige Marvel Masterworks treatment for the first time.
Marvel Masterworks: Avengers West Coast Vol. 1 collects West Coast Avengers #1-7, Vision and the Scarlet Witch #1-2, Marvel Graphic Novel #27: Emperor Doom, and 1986’s Wonder Man One-Shot.
All stories are written by Steve Englehart and David Michelinie, with art by Al Milgrom, Bob Hall, Richard Howell, Kerry Gammill, Joe Sinnott, Kim DeMulder, Kyle Baker, Andy Mushynsky, and Vince Colletta.
The Avengers set up shop on the West Coast with a team composed of Hawkeye, Iron Man, Wonder Man, Mockingbird and Tigra. The series starts with a four-part Vision and the Scarlet Witch mystery involving Hank Pym, Ultron, Man-Ape, Goliath, and the Grim Reaper. The first few issues also introduce frequent WCA villain Master Pandemonium and include appearances by Kraven the Hunter, the Thing, Morbius, Werewolf by Night, and Firebird.
The volume also includes a new introduction by Michael Higgins.
Marvel Masterworks: Avengers West Coast Vol. 1 consists of 384 pages for a suggested cover price of $75.00.
