The third printing of the ever-popular “Demon Bear Saga” returns to comic shops around the country this October.
New Mutants: The Demon Bear Saga Epic Collection (previously released in 2019 and 2020) collects New Mutants #13-31 and New Mutants Annual #1 by Chris Claremont, Bill Sienkiewicz, Sal Buscema, Bob McLeod, Tom Mandrake, Kim DeMulder, and Tom Palmer.
The stories from 1984-85 firmly established the title as one that took chances, especially in issue #18 when Claremont was paired with Sienkiewicz. The Epic Collection includes their entire run together with a distinct focus on the title story.
Long-time New Mutant members Magma, Magik, and Warlock are introduced in Saga. The odd-ball annual story, “The Cosmic Cannonball Caper”, is added for good measure and features the first appearance of Lila Cheney.
New Mutants: The Demon Bear Saga Epic Collection consists of 512 pages for a suggested retail price of $49.99.
