‘X-Men: Fatal Attractions’ Gets Epic Collection Edition

The frequently reprinted storyline from the early 1990s titled Fatal Attractions gets the Epic Collection treatment in the latest addition to the X-Men series.

The X-Men: Fatal Attractions Epic Collection includes The Uncanny X-Men #301-306, X-Men #24-25, X-Men Unlimited #2, Wolverine #75, Gambit #1-4 and X-Men Survival Guide to the Mansion.

All of the stories are written by Scott Lobdell, Fabian Nicieza, Larry Hama, and Howard Mackie. Art is provided by a large number of individuals such as John Romita, Jr., Richard Bennett, Andy Kubert, Jan Duursema, Lee Weeks, Adam Kubert, Eliot R. Brown, Jae Lee, Chris Sprouse, Brandon Peterson, Paul Smith, Steve Alexandrov, Kris Renkewitz, Whilce Portacio, Greg Capullo, Henry Flint, Dan Green, Dan Panosian, Keith Williams, Jose Marzan, Jr., Klaus Janson, Matthew Ryan, Terry Austin, Tom Palmer, Jimmy Palmiotti, Joe Rubinstein, Jason Gorder, Mark Farmer, Mark Pennington, Michael Golden, Scott Williams, Harry Candelario, Henry Flint, and Al Milgrom.

Unfortunately, not all of the parts of the six-issue storyline are included in the edition (missing X-Factor #92, X-Force #25, and Excalibur #71) but the Magneto ripping Wolverine’s adamantium from his body stunt and the main pieces involving the Legacy virus, the Acolytes, and plenty of confusing mutant mayhem make the cut.

One of the highlights in Fatal Attractions is Gambit’s original mini-series, which expands on his backstory involving the New Orleans Thieves and Assassins Guilds.

Different versions (with different set of issues in many of the editions) of Fatal Attractions have appeared in trade paperback form in 1994, 2016, and 2019 and in a hardcover in 2012.

The X-Men: Fatal Attractions Epic Collection consists of 520 pages for a suggested retail price of $49.99.
