‘Superman: The Silver Age’ Omnibus Vol. 1 Begins New Collected Series

Volume 1 of Superman: The Silver Age Omnibus finally soars into comic shops, bringing some of the oddest and most whimsical Superman stories of all time to collectors everywhere.

Volume 1 contains Action Comics #241-265 and Superman #122-137, written by Jerry Siegel, Otto Binder, Jerry Coleman, Bill Finger, Robert Bernstein, and Alvin Schwartz, with art by Wayne Boring, Al Plastino, Kurt Schaffenberger, Curt Swan, Dick Sprang, Jim Mooney, Stan Kaye, John Giunta, Ray Burnley, and John Forte.

The Man of Steel combats Lex Luthor, Braniac, Metallo, the Black Knight, Bizzaro, Titano, Kull-Ex: The Super-Outlaw from Krypton, and many other Silver Age villains.

In addition to all the super-powered threats to Metropolis, the collection also contains tales such as when Jimmy Olson dreamed that Superman became the President of the United States, Clark Kent’s college days, when Lois first suspected that Clark was Superman, the coming of Supergirl, and bizarre version of the last son of Krypton, represented by Ultra Superman and a lion-headed Superman just to name a few.

Superman: The Silver Age Omnibus Vol. 1 also contains a brand-new foreword by Karl Kesel about Supes’ Silver Age adventures.

The hardcover Omnibus consists of 816 pages for a suggested cover price of an even $100.00.
