The Batman ’89 harcover collection arrives for Batman Day 2026, with a Batman Day exclusive dust jacket with artwork from the 1989 Batman movie and a digital code for the Tim Burton film.
The Sam Hamm and Joe Quinones series directly follows up on Tim Burton original Batman, bringing back its screenwriter to examine a number of threads left unanswered in Burton’s film.
The story begins with Gotham citizens dressed as Batman and The Joker duking it out in the streets, just as D.A. Harvey Dent begins his trek towards madness and the adoption of his Two Face persona.
The Batman ’89 series was also released in a trade paperback format in 2025.
The Batman ’89 Batman Day 2026 hardcover edition consists of 152 page for a suggested retail price of $29.99 and will be available at participating comic stores.
