Relive ‘The Marvel Comics Covers of Jack Kirby Volume 1: 1961-1964’ in New Dark Horse Books and Marvel Comics Collaboration

Dark Horse Books and Marvel Comics combine forces once again for The Marvel Comics Covers of Jack Kirby Volume 1: 1961-1964.

The first of a multi-volume series (Volume 1 will be available in February 2025), The Marvel Comics Covers of Jack Kirby collects Kirby’s cover art from 1961 to 1964, showcasing his earliest Marel work from titles such as The Fantastic Four, The Avengers, The Incredible Hulk, Journey into Mystery, Strange Tales, Tales to Astonish, and The X-Men.

Vincent Ladevaia, co-designer, co-editor, and curator of @kirbycovers on Instagram said “40 years into his career, Kirby once again redefined the comics medium and his iconic covers helped usher in the Marvel age of comics. Volume 1 teleports us back to the early days at Marvel Comics and explores his early work on these beloved characters.

The first book courtesy of the new team-up will be The Art of the Amazing Spider-Man by John Romita this fall.

The Marvel Comics Covers of Jack Kirby Volume 1: 1961-1964 arrives in bookstores on February 18, 2025, and in comic shops on February 19, 2025.

  1. I hope Jack Kirby’s estate is getting some of the money from this collection, considering it’s his artwork being featured.
