As part of a new agreement between Dark Horse and Marvel Comics, the companies will combine forces for a series of deluxe art books, starting with The Art of the Amazing Spider-Man by John Romita this fall.
The oversized hardcover (10” x 14” and 200 pages) features essays on Romita’s work, covers, and original art scans from the Marvel archives.
The new series, called Bullpen Books, will honor the works of legendary Marvel Comics characters and creators.
Dark Horse President and Publisher Mike Richardson said “I grew up with the Marvel characters and their creators from my earliest days, so I’m very excited about this new collaboration. We’re very excited about working with Marvel to highlight some of the greatest art and artists from their extensive library. I’m sure these books will be a special treat for comics fans everywhere.”

The Art of Amazing Spider-Man by John Romita will be in stores on October 30 and will retail for $59.99.
