The first part of Chip Zdarsky’s extensive and fan-favorite run on Daredevil gets a brand new Omnibus edition.
The Daredevil by Chip Zdarsky Omnibus Vol. 1 collects Daredevil #1-30 and Daredevil Annual #1. The stories, from 2019 to 2021, contain art by Marco Checchetto, Lalit Kumar Sharma, Jay Leisten, Jorge Fornes, Francesco Mobili, Manuel Garcia, Le Beau Underwood, Chris Mooneyham, Victor Olazaba, Mike Hawthorne, JP Mayer, and Adriano Di Benedetto.
The opening of Zdarsky’s run begins with Matt Murdock in rough shape (isn’t he always?), trying to create some sense of normality for his dual life as an attorney and crime fighter, when he is accused of killing a criminal in cold blood.
It doesn’t get any easier when your archnemesis Wilson Fisk is currently the Mayor of New York City, the Owl and a gang of lethal super villains runs riot, and Typhoid Mary and Bullseye return to menace poor Matt.
Luckily, Elektra shows ups to pick up the slack and continue as a new version of the “Devil of Hell’s Kitchen.”
The Daredevil by Chip Zdarsky Omnibus Vol. 1 consists of 704 pages for a suggested retail price of $100.00.
