TCM’s ‘You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet’ Focuses on the Power of Invisibility

Classic horror and sci-fi fans sometimes feel invisible at the height of the holiday season, but don’t worry, because Turner Classic Movies “sees you”.

TCM’s prime time lineup on December 27 features six invisibility-themed films that are guaranteed to make you see the light!

“You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” opens with the original invisible, Claude Rains, in James Whale’s 1933 masterpiece The Invisible Man (8:00 pm ET), before continuing the Universal streak in Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man (9:30 pm ET) from 1951.

The comedic use of invisible rascals continues in 1941’s The Body Disappears (11:00 pm ET), directed by D. Ross Lederman, involving the exploits of a college student who becomes invisible on the eve of his wedding.

Things take a sci-fi spin with MGM’s The Invisible Boy (12:30 AM) from 1957, and include a second appearance by Forbidden Planet’s Robby the Robot in the Herman Hoffman directed film.

Edward L. Cahn’s Invisible Invaders (2:15 AM) does all it can in just 67 minutes with zombies, aliens, and of course, invisibility in this low-budget feature from 1959.

Director Edgar G. Ulmer finishes the night with 1960’s The Amazing Transparent Man (3:30 AM) involving a gangster seeking the power of invisibility to avoid the coppers.

Enjoy all of the invisibility on December 27, and be sure to come back to Conskipper all year round for all of your classic film updates.
