‘X-Men: The Brood Saga’ Epic Collection Showcases Aliens and Monsters of all Kinds

The Uncanny X-Men contend with both extraterrestrial and supernatural threats in the latest X-Men Epic Collection.

The X-Men: The Brood Saga Epic Collection contains stories from 1982 to 1983 in The Uncanny X-Men #154-167, The Uncanny X-Men Annual #6, and X-Men Special Edition (1983).

All of the stories are written by Chris Claremont, with art by Dave Cockrum, Paul Smith, Bill Sienkiewicz, Brent Anderson, Bob Wiacek, Hilary Barta, and Joe Rubinstein.

The X-Men’s extended adventure in outer space involves plenty of Brood, the Starjammers, the Imperial Guard, Deathbird, and the Shi’ar Empire (and some buggy transformations along the way). In between their space travels, things get spooky on Earth when the team encounters both Dracula and the devilish Belasco.

Other notable moments include the second appearance of Rogue, the first appearance of Carol Danvers as Binary, a reprint of Giant-Size X-Men #1, and a new story by the original “new X-Men” team of Claremont and Cockrum titled “A Day Like Any Other”.

The X-Men: The Brood Saga Epic Collection consists of 424 pages and comes with a suggested retail price of $44.99.
