Journey Back to the Start of Superman’s ‘Triangle Era’ in New Omnibus

The start of Superman’s interconnected, weekly comics (starting in May of 1991 and spanning across four titles) is the subject of Superman: The Triangle Era Omnibus Vol.1.

The “triangle era” (typified by the triangle on the cover containing the year and numbered reading order) launched an era of collaborative storytelling and some of the character’s most memorable and highest selling comics of all time.

Vol. 1 collects Superman #49-63, The Adventures of Superman #472-486, Action Comics #659-673, Superman: The Man of Steel #1-8, and Starman #28.

Artists and writers (many of whom stayed as part of the “Triangle Team” for years) in the collection include Jerry Ordway, Dan Jurgens, Roger Stern, Louise Simonson, James D. Hudnall, Karl Kessel, Dennis Janke, Bob McLeod, Jon Bogdanove, Tom Grummett, Kerry Gammill, Ed Hannigan, Curt Swan, John Byrne, Jim Mooney, Art Thibert, Jim Fern, Kieron Dwyer, Dave Hoover, Brett Breeding, Doug Hazlewood, Willie Blyberg, Denis Rodier, Eduardo Barreto, Jose Marzan, Jr., Brad Vancata, and Scott Hanna.

The first volume collects the story arcs “Time and Again”, “Red Glass”, “Blackout”, and many more.

The Omnibus also incudes a brand-new introduction by “Triangle Era” architect Mike Carlin.
