Static: Season One definitely has some manga art influences, so it makes sense that the series would be collected in DC’s new Compact Comics format.
The manga-sized volume collects Milestone Returns: Infinite Edition and Static Season One #1-6 from 2021 by Vita Ayala, Reginald Hudlin, Greg Pak, ChrisCross, Nikolas Draper-Ivey, Denys Cowan, Bill Sienkiewicz, Ryan Benjamin, Khoi Pham, Jimmy Palmiotti, Don Ho, and Scott Hanna.
Static: Season One is part of the relaunched Milestone Comics line and the Dakotaverse, featuring Virgil Hawkins as a teenager with electricity based powers and plenty of problems of the super hero and teen variety.
The new trade paperback format features a 5.5″ x 8.5″ size, designed to sit comfortably next to manga at your local book store or comic shop. The trim size is the most widely circulated softcover book size in the US as well.
Static: Season One consists of 184 pages for a suggested cover price $9.99.
Static: Season One was previously collected in both a hardcover and trade paperback edition.
