Project Fear (formerly known as Destination Fear) has investigated countless abandoned hospitals, sanitariums, asylums, and other decrepit haunted locations, and the crew can now check off the famous Conjuring house.
Dakota Laden, Chelsea Laden, Tanner Wiseman, and Alex Schroeder’s investigation of the house made famous in the original The Conjuring film (based on a real-life investigation by legendary ghost hunters Ed and Lorraine Warren) is comprised of three separate episodes on YouTube and has not been without some controversy.
In addition to the regular crew, the team invited Cody Ray Desbiens and Satori Hawes, two paranormal investigators who have become polarizing figures on the ghost chaser scene due to their purported psychic abilities.
Dakota Laden addressed the controversy on twitter and said “The emotional depth in todays video surpasses any previous. An extremely candid depiction of personal aspects of our lives. Our most controversial video to date. It is important to consider the timeframe, as we recorded these videos in early October. Since then, Cody and Satori have been surrounded in paranormal controversy regarding their abilities.”
Laden went on to “After both Conjuring videos have aired, we will be releasing a sit down conversation that we recently recorded with Cody and Satori. In that video we were able to press them on all of the publics skepticisms and theories. Watch and decide for yourselves…”
The first two Conjuring house videos are currently available to view and the final post-mortem episode will go live on Friday, February 16.
The former-Destination Fear crew raised over $384,000 on a Kickstarter campaign to self-fund the new Project Fear and Project Fear’s YouTube channel is currently at 321,000 subscribers.
