Just like Boston Brand, you can’t keep a good Deadman down, and you also can’t keep the Deadman Omnibus out-of-print.
The Deadman Omnibus (originally released in 2020) collects his earliest stories from Strange Adventures #205-216, The Brave and the Bold #79, 86, 104, and 133, Aquaman #50-52, Challengers of the Unknown #74 and 84-87, Justice League of America #94, World’s Finest #223 and 227, The Phantom Stranger #33 and 39-41, Superman Family #183, DC Super-Stars #18, DC Super Stars #8, Adventure Comics #459-466, DC Comics Presents #24, Detective Comics #500, Deadman #1-4, and Secret Origins #15.
All stories are written by co-creator Arnold Drake, Jack Miller, Bob Haney, Robert Kantigher, Denny O’Neil, Gerry Conway, Cary Bates, Carla Conway, Mike Friedrich, Paul Levitz, Martin Pasko, Len Wein, and Andrew Helfer, and Andy Helfer.
Deadman’s reputation of a comic with phenomenal artwork is clearly displayed in the Omnibus with art by co-creator Carmine Infantino, Neal Adams, Jim Aparo, George Tuska, Keith Giffen, John Celardo, Dick Dillin, Joe Giella, George Roussos, Tex Blaisdell, Mike Grell, Fred Carrillo, Romeo Tanghal, Dick Giordano, Bob Greenberger, Tom Mandrake, Kevin Maguire, Kurt Schaffenberger, Vince Colletta, Bob Layton, Ric Estrada, Frank Chiaramonte, Bob Smith, and Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez.
In addition to all of the comic content, the Omnibus once again includes an introduction by Drake about the creation of Deadman in 1967 and his legacy.
The Deadman Omnibus consists of 944 pages for a suggested retail price of $125.00.
