The latest Captain America Omnibus is all about Cap’s original co-creator’s return to the Sentinel of Liberty in Volume 4.
The Captain America Omnibus Vol. 4 collects every issue of “The King’s” return (starting, appropriately enough, in 1976) in Captain America #193-214, Captain America Annual #3-4, Captain America’s Bicentennial Battles Marvel Treasury Edition, and Cap material from F.O.O.M. #11.
All of the stories are written and drawn by Jack Kirby, with inks by Frank Giacoia, John Verpoorten, John Tartaglione, Barry Windsor Smith, Herb Trimpe, John Romita, Dan Adkins, Mike Royer, Dan Green, and D. Bruce Berry.
The oft-collected “Madbomb” saga is the centerpiece of the Omnibus, with additional adventures starring Steve Roger and Sam Wilson featuring the Night People, Agron the Unburied One, Magneto, Arnim Zola, and the Red Skull.
Just so you know that your brain isn’t still being effected by the Madbomb explosion, the exact Omnibus (without the short excerpt from F.O.O.M) was released in 2020 as the Captain America by Jack Kirby Omnibus. Captain America’s Bicentennial Battles Treasury Edition also returned in 2021 as a facsimile edition of the original over-sized, patriotic favorite.
The Captain America Omnibus Vol. 4 consists of 656 pages for a suggested retail price of $100.00.
