‘Welcome Back, Frank’ in New Punisher Marvel Premier Collection

The twelve-issue Marvel Knights The Punisher series by Garth Ennis, Steve Dillon, and Jimmy Palmiotti from 2000 gets its very own Marvel Premier Collection edition titled Welcome Back, Frank.

With a foreword by the MCU’s own Punisher, Jon Bernthal, and an introduction by Ennis, the Punisher makes his gritty return by targeting Ma Gnuccis crime family in New York City.

The precursor to the Punisher Max series (also by Ennis), the Marvel Knights series was famous for its brutal action, dark humor, and the introduction of supporting characters such as the Detective Martin Soap, Spacker Dave, and Mr. Bump, as well as the contract killer the Russian and Mr. Payback. Frank Castle’s nemesis Daredevil also makes an appearance to continue their debate over killing (or maiming) crooks and villains.

The Marvel Premier Collection 6″ x 9″ format is just slightly bigger than DC Comics Compact Comics line (5.5″ x 8.5″). The new smaller paperbacks are designed to appeal to readers of novels and manga looking to explore some of Marvel’s most famous storylines and characters.

The Punisher: Welcome Back, Frank Marvel Premiere Collection consists of 288 pages for a suggested retail price of $14.99.
