One of the best comics published in the 1980s, and perhaps the greatest Thor run ever, returns to comic shops and book stores in June.
The collection in question is the third edition of The Mighty Thor by Walter Simonson Omnibus.
The reprinted Omnibus collects The Mighty Thor #337-355, 357-369, and 371-382 and the Balder the Brave four-issue mini-series.
Walt Simonson handles the vast majority of the writing and art (along with an Introduction to the massive collection), with a few assists by Sal Buscema, Terry Austin, Bob Wiacek, Al Milgrom, Geof Isherwood, Bret Blevins (as Albret Blevinson), and Joe Sinnott.
The pages in the Omnibus are once again remastered from the original artwork, with new colors by Steve Oliff.
All of the adventures one remembers from Simonson’s run are contained within, starting with the cover-shattering debut of Beta Ray Bill, and continuing throughout the Omnibus with Thor and friends battling Fafnir the dragon, Loki, Lorelei, Malekith the Dark Elf, Surtur, Hela, the Titanium Man, Kurse, Zaniac, the Marauders, the Absorbing Man, Fin Fang Foom, the Destroyer, and the Midgard Serpent.
The Mighty Thor by Walter Simonson Omnibus was originally released in 2011 and again in 2017.
The Mighty Thor by Walt Simonson Omnibus consists of 1,192 pages for a suggested retail price of $125.00.
Both covers are available once again, featuring Thor and Balder or Thor and Beta Ray Bill (comic shop variant).

WAsnt Albret Blevinson used when Bret Blevins and Al Williams on did the work together?
