Walt Disney World made an announcement this morning which shows that things are about to return closer to normal at the Happiest Place on Earth… just in time for the scariest time of the year! The Disney Parks Blog announced that Magic Kingdom will host a Disney After Hours BOO BASH during select nights this late summer and fall from August 10th through October 31st.
The event will run from 9:00 PM to midnight. Special features of the event will include, “Halloween-themed cavalcades, character sightings throughout the park, special performances by the Cadaver Dans, décor, lighting, music, treat stops with plenty of candy and so much more!” Over 20 park attractions will also be open with lower wait times than usual. Guests are encouraged to dress in costume and collect Halloween candy throughout the evening.
A new video accompanies today’s announcement:
BOO Bash ticketholders do not need a day park ticket or a Disney Park Pass reservation on the day of their event, and they could enter the park as early as 7:00 PM.
Tickets will go on sale in June, and guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels will have an early purchase window to get their tickets.
Magic Kingdom’s previous Halloween celebration was called Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The Disney After Hours BOO BASH includes many of the same features fans have come to enjoy on those nights.
