Tom Veitch and Steve Dillon’s early ’90s Animal Man run is collected together for the first time in a new Omnibus edition.
The Omnibus collects Animal Man #27-50 and Animal Man scenes from War of the Gods #3 and Suicide Squad #58.
All stories are written by Veitch, Peter Milligan, John Ostrander, and George Perez, with art by Dillon, Chaz Truog, Brett Ewins, David G. Klein, Tom Mandrake, Steve Pugh, Geof Isherwood, George Perez, Mark Farmer, Mark Badger, Dick Giordano, Jim McCarthy, Robert Campanella, Russ Braun, Pablo Marcos, Vince Giarrano, Scott Hanna, and Romeo Tanghal.
The story of Animal Man picks up directly after Grant Morrison’s run with a six-issue arc by Milligan and Truog, before turning over the title to Veitch and Dillon for their extended run on the Vertigo title.
Buddy Baker continues to attempt to balance the life of a superhero, family man, and stuntman in the Veitch/Dillon issues before his powers go haywire.
Animal Man also continues to transform through strange connections to animals and faces plenty of quirky, bizarre villains of the era in the collection as well.
The Animal Man by Rick Veitch and Steve Dillon Omnibus consists of 640 pages for a suggested retail price of $100.00.
