Skybound, Image Comics, and Scott Dunbier’s Act 4 Publishing continue their Artist’s Edition line with their first Marvel-themed release titled The Amazing Spider-Man by Steve Ditko Artist’s Edition.
Coming in May 2026, The Amazing Spider-Man by Steve Ditko Artist’s Edition will feature some of Ditko’s finest work in the 15” x 22” format.
The Artist’s Edition will also includes dozens of splash pages, story pages, covers, and several never-before-published images from the early 1960s done for fans, with every page scanned from the original art.
“Steve Ditko, the co-creator of Spider-Man, was one of the most important and innovative creators in the Marvel Universe,” said Scott Dunbier. “His unique drawing style, coupled with an inventive sense of design, helped make Spider-Man one of the most beloved heroes in the world!”

Similar to other Artist’s Editions, although the pages appear to be black and white, the art is scanned in color, enabling readers to experience the pages with all of the ink gradients, blue pencil, and other aspects of the original art pages.

Other upcoming Act 4 Publishing and Skybound releases include Jim Aparo’s DC Classics Artist’s Edition In September and Darwyn Cooke’s The Complete Spirit Connoisseur Edition in October. Wally Wood’s EC Stories Artist’s Edition- EXPANDED and Mike Mignola’s Hellboy in Hell Book 2 Artist’s Edition will arrive in 2026.
Future releases within the publishing partnership include J. Scott Campbell’s Danger Girl Artist Edition, Dave Stevens’ Covers and Stories Connoisseur Edition, Jason Pearson’s Body Bags Artist’s Edition, and Paul Smith’s Leave It to Chance Artist’s Edition.
