The latest Superman by Kurt Busiek Collection features a number of stories that showcase the hope and excitement that the writer brought to the character during his run.
Superman by Kurt Busiek Book 2 collects Action Comics #850 and 852-854, Superman #659-675 and #712, Superman Annual #13, and a Superman story from the New Year’s Evil one-shot.
Along with Busiek, Book 2 also includes writing by Fabian Nicieza, Geoff Johns, Richard Howell, with art by Carlos Pacheco, Jesus Merino, Renato Guedes, Rick Leonardi, Peter Vale, Walt Simonson, Brad Walker, Mike Manley, Richard Howell, Jorge Correa, Dale Eaglesham, José Wilson Magalhaes, Ande Parks, Dan Green, Bret Blevins, Eduardo Barreto, John Livesay, Jon Sibal, and Wellington Dias.
The collection (which was personally curated by Busiek) contains a new introduction by the writer and the following storylines: “3-2-1 Action!” (costarring Superman’s pal, Jimmy Olsen in a Countdown tie-in story), “The Third Kryptonian”, and “Shadows Linger” (starring The Insect Queen and the Galactic Golem).
The Superman by Kurt Busiek Book One hardcover collection was released last year.
The hardcover volume consists of 656 pages for a suggested retail price of $49.99.
