The Spider-Man by David Michelinie and Mark Bagley Omnibus commemorates the artistic pairing of the team responsible for Carnage and plenty of early ’90s Spidey action.
The Omnibus collects Amazing Spider-Man #351-375, Amazing Spider-Man Annual #25-26, and selected spider-stories from Spectacular Spider-Man Annual #11-12, Web of Spider-Man Annual #7-8, and New Warriors Annual #2.
Some of Michelinie (who headlines his third Omnibus edition with another fan-favorite artist) and Bagley’s storylines in the collection include a rematch with the Tri-Sentinel, the debut of Carnage, the Invasion of the Spider-Slayers, and the Sidekick’s Revenge.
The Omnibus also includes the four-part “The Hero Killers” (guest starring the New Warriors) and the three-part “The Vibranium Vendetta” (with Iron Man and the Black Panther) summer annual crossover events.
In addition to Michelinie and Bagley, the Omnibus contains work by Tom Brevoort, Tom Defalco, J.M. DeMatteis, Eric Fein, Mike Kanterovich, Terry Kavanagh, Stan Lee, Al Milgrom, Fabian Nicieza, Jeph York, Jerry Bingham, Sal Buscema, Paris Cullins, Steve Ditko, Vincent Evans, Donald Hudson, Scott Kolins, Alan Kupperberg, Aaron Lopresti, Chris Marrinan, Scott McDaniel, Pat Olliffe, Brandon Peterson, John Romita Sr., Marie Severin, Tod Smith, and Guang Yap (most of these writers and artists contributions are found in the annuals contained within the Omnibus).
Michelinie’s previous Omnibus team-ups included ones with Todd McFarlane and Erik Larsen.
Look for the new Omnibus at your local comic shop on July 17.
