With only a few days to go in their Kickstarter campaign, the forces of G.I. Joe and Cobra look to set a new Kickstarter record for a comic book/graphic novel project.
The G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero Compendium Set from Skybound currently sits at over $2,900,000, trailing the all-time leader (Good Omens: The Official (and Ineffable) Graphic Novel) by only about $150,00 with two days to go in the Kickstarter campaign.
The USS Flagg-sized hardcover set consists of four volumes containing all of the original Marvel Comics stories (written by Larry Hama), including the Yearbooks and mini-series.
With over 21 stretch goals unlocked along the way, the Joes are racing to the finish, with the entire four-volume set and individual volumes available to back until Wednesday, June 23 at 3:00 PM ET.
With the success of the G.I. Joe campaign, can a Transformers deluxe Compendium Set be far behind? Before the Kickstarter campaign launched, Skybound announced the publication of a paperback edition of the G.I. Joe Compendium, and a Transformers edition is also on the way in 2025.
Stay tuned to Conskipper for more information about Skybound’s upcoming G.I. Joe and Transformers projects and to see if the soldiers can take the Kickstarter crown.
