New Deluxe Edition of Jim Starlin and Bernie Wrightson’s ‘Batman: The Cult’ Released

After Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns reinvented the caped crusader for a new generation, plenty of one-shots, mini-series, and graphic novels followed, further entrenching the Batman as the coolest character in town.

One of the series that led the pack in the late 80s was none other than the four-issue mini-series titled Batman: The Cult, by two creators at the top of their game in the form of Jim Starlin and Bernie Wrightson.

The often overlooked series is once again available in a new Deluxe Hardcover Edition after over a decade out-of-print.

With an introduction by Starlin and a never-before-seen gallery of original art by Wrightson, Batman: The Cult introduces readers to Deacon Blackfire, who tests Batman’s mind, body and soul in the atmospheric tale filled with danger and moral dilemmas for the Bat.

Batman: The Cult Deluxe Edition consists of 224 pages for a suggested retail price of $39.99.
