The madcap adventures of Justice League International by Keith Giffen, J.M. DeMatteis, and Kevin Maguire continue in the new Around the World collection.
“Around the World!” Collects Justice League America International #18-27, Justice League Europe #1-6, and Justice League America International Annual #3.
Giffen and DeMatteis handle all of the scripting, with art by Maguire, Bart Sears, Al Gordon, Ty Templeton, Mike McKone, Dick Giordano, Pablo Marcos, and Joe Rubinstein.
The ranks of the Justice League include Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Martian Manhunter, Guy Gardner, Mister Miracle, Captain Atom, Green Lantern G’nort, Big Barda, Rocket Red, and Fire and Ice. The team even opens up a new chapter in Europe, sending Metamorpho, Captain Atom, Wonder Woman, Flash, Power Girl, Elongated Man, Animal Man and Rocket Red to patrol the continent (much to the chagrin of the Global Guardians).
The team handles all manner of intergalactic and homegrown trouble, dealing with menaces like Lord Manga Khan, Lobo, the denizens of Apokolips (including Darkseid), the Injustice League (Major Disaster, the Clock King, Multi-Man, Big Sir and Clue Master), aliens, and vampires.
The JLI even embarks on a whirlwind tour of the team’s embassies in Tokyo, Brazil, Moscow, London, Canberra, and Paris in JLI Annual #3.
The same trade paperback collection was released in 2021 and the first volume titled Born Again was rereleased in March of 2025.
The Justice League International Around the World collection consists of 576 pages for a suggested retail price of $39.99.
