Thor Confronts ‘The Dark Gods’ in New Epic Collection

Thor gets a new lease on life following the events of Heroes Reborn in the new Thor: The Dark Gods Epic Collection.

The Dark Gods collects The Mighty Thor #1-13, Mighty Thor #1 Rough Cut, Silver Surfer Annual 1998, The Mighty Thor Annual 1999, and Peter Parker: Spider-Man #2.

All stories are written by Dan Jurgens, Tom DeFalco, Howard Mackie, and J.M. DeMattis, with art by Jurgens, John Romita, Jr., Ramon Bernado, John Buscema, Klaus Janson, Scott Hanna, Mark Pennington, Scott Hanna, and Jerry Ordway.

Thor returns to the Marvel Universe proper and Asgard, to find his home in ruins, sending the Thunderer on a quest to rebuild Asgard and find those responsible for the carnage. First on the list of suspects include the Destroyer, Hela, a mysterious new god called Marnot.

Thor also assumes a human alter ego once again, going by paramedic Jake Olson when on Midgard. Guest appearances in the collection include Spider-Man, Hercules, Namor, the Silver Surfer and the Avengers, along with adversaries such as Sedna and a number of Dark Gods.

The Thor: The Dark Gods Epic Collection consists of 480 pages for a suggested retail price of $54.99.
