Denys Cowan’s first art book comes to Kickstarter, celebrating the artist’s nearly fifty-year career in the industry.
Graphic Samurai: The Art of Denys Cowan (currently available to back on Kickstarter) includes over 2000 scanned images across 250-pages, as well as a comprehensive interview with Cowan.
The artwork in the book is a mix of prelims, character designs, finished pages, finished and unfinished projects, and some of his earliest and latest designs.
Graphic Samurai: The Art of Denys Cowan includes a foreword by Howard Chaykin and many insights from friends and colleagues such as Bill Sienkiewicz, Dan DiDio, David Walker, Butch Guice, Keith Pollard, and Jimmy Palmiotti.
The campaign also offers fans the chance to get sketches from Cowan in the book in the signed remarqued edition of Graphic Samurai: The Art of Denys Cowan.
Graphic Samurai: The Art of Denys Cowan is available to back on Kickstarter until Friday, November 22.
