Avengers Enter ‘Season of the Witch’ in New Epic Collection

The Avengers always seem to have an issue with the Scarlet Witch, and 1983 was no exception.

The Avengers: Season of the Witch Epic Collection looks back on that particular era when the team consisted of Thor, Captain America, Captain Marvel (Monica Rambeau), She-Hulk, Wasp, Hawkeye, Starfox, and the always problematic Scarlet Witch in The Avengers #227-237, The Avengers Annual #12, The Amazing Spider-Man Annual #16, Fantastic Four #256, Doctor Strange #60, and Hawkeye #1-4.

All stories are written by Roger Stern, John Byrne, Bill Mantlo, and Mark Gruenwald, with art by Sal Buscema, Al Milgrom, John Byrne, Bob Budiansky, Jackson “Butch” Guice, John Romita, Jr., Dan Green, Mark Gruenwald, Brett Breeding, Joe Sinnott, Rick Magyar, John Romita, Sr., Terry Austin, Danny Bulandi, Eliot Brown, Ian Akin, and Brian Garvey.

Highlights include the debut of the new Captain Marvel (in Amazing Spider-Man Annual #16), Hank Pym’!’s trial, an adventure with the Inhumans on the moon, a team-up with the Fantastic Four, the Scarlet Witch and Doctor Strange’s search for the Darkhold, new employee Spider-Man, a super villain issue at Project Pegasus, and Hawkeye’s first solo mini-series.

The Avengers: Season of the Witch Epic Collection weighs in at 496 pages for a suggested retail price of $44.99.
