First Appearance of Wonder Woman Sells for $1.62 Million at Heritage Auctions Event

Wonder Woman joined the one million dollar club at a recent Heritage Auctions sale, with her first appearance in All Star Comics #8 going for $1.62 million.

The All Star Comics #8 was graded a 9.4 by CGC. A previous copy (in similar condition) sold for $936,223 in 2017.

The sale also marked the eighth time a CGC-certified comic sold for over $1 million this year, including Superman #1, Action Comics #1, Marvel Comics #1, Captain America Comics #1, Fantastic Four #1, and two copies of Detective Comics #27.

Wonder Woman’s brief origin is told as a back-up feature in All Star Comics #8, which was released in 1941 (and her name doesn’t even appear on the cover!).
