Ed and Lorraine Warren’s daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Tony Spera, clarified the details surrounding the recent sale of the Warren’s museum and property.
The couple posted a message on facebook on the New England Society for Psychic Research page (NESPR) stating that while the couple sold the house and museum building, the artifacts inside still belong to the family.
According to the Speras, “We could no longer afford to keep the house, (trying to maintain that home plus our own). We wanted to sell for a while, but were in a quandary over the artifacts. What would we do with the museum artifacts?”
The home and property was eventually sold to comedian and paranormal enthusiast Matt Rife and YouTube creator Elton Castee who “…would open it up as an Air B & B with a slant towards paranormal guests- who could stay overnight and investigate a haunted house.”
According to the Speras, Rife and Castee will lease the artifacts from the museum for five years and “…find a suitable location to open a MUSEUM down the road – and house our artifacts and give tours. At NO TIME – will they own the artifacts. The lease is for 5 years- at which time we can negotiate further lease options- Or have the artifacts returned to us.”
Members from NESPR will also reportedly “…oversee the operation of the museum and ensure that the artifacts are safe and treated with respect” once a location for the artifacts is secured and the location opens for business.
Information concerning overnight stays at the Warren’s home and booking information is available at the official Haunted Warren House website.
Reservations to stay at the house will open on Friday, September 5, with bookings beginning on November 1 with a cost of $1,999 a night to stay on the property. Bookings are currently available through February 15, 2026.
