Batman: Black and White will return once again in December, allowing a whole new generation of creators to tell unique Batman stories in the six issue anthology. The one unifying element of the stories will naturally be the absence of color, with all stories appearing in stark black and white.
The first issue in the new series will feature a cover by Greg Capullo (see below) and each issue will also include two variant covers, one featuring Batman and the other featuring a member of his rogue’s gallery. The variant covers for issue one include Peach Momoko’s version of Talia al Ghul, and another artist well-known for his work on Batman covers, J.H. Williams, provides a cover featuring the Dark Knight.
While the content of individual issues has yet to be revealed, the talent enlisted for the new series is enough to keep any comic book fan awake at night in anticipation. Artist and writing teams so far include:

The original Batman: Black and White series debuted in 1996 and ran for four issues. DC returned to the concept in 2013 with a new series of Black and White stories, continuing the legacy. Both series were also collected in hardcover and trade paperback editions, and the series also inspired a line of mini-Batman statues, based on each artist’s version of the caped crusader.
Batman: Black and White will be available on Tuesday, December 8 at finer comic book shops everywhere (and each prestige format issue will retail for $5.99).
