One of the most collected storylines in comic book history gets yet another trade paperback edition this month when Chris Claremont, John Byrne, and Terry Austin’s X-Men: The Dark Phoenix Saga arrives.
The new version contains The Uncanny X-Men #129-137, putting the fate of the universe in the hands of Jean Grey’s best friends and teammates.
The very same trade paperback was released in 2012 (the third edition) and the recent X-Men Epic Collection entitled The Fate of the Phoenix released in January of 2021 also contains the same issues (plus Uncanny X-Men 138-143, Uncanny X-Men Annual #4, Marvel Treasury Edition #26-27, Phoenix: The Untold Story #1, and excerpts from Marvel Team-Up #100. It is likely that your local comic shop may still have the Epic Collection in stock, so if you want the extras, you may want to examine that slightly pricier choice).
The X-Men: The Dark Phoenix Saga consists of 200 pages for a suggested retail price of $29.99.
Look for the new edition in stores on May 31 and keep coming back to Conskipper for all of your vintage comic news.
