‘X-Force’ Omnibus Returns to Comic Shops After Over a Decade

X-Force fans get their first chance since 2013 to purchase a second edition of the X-Force Omnibus.

The start of X-title that took the world by storm in 1991 (and sent millions of fans ripping open their polybagged copies of X-Force #1 to grab those valuable trading cards) is included in the reissued Omnibus, with The New Mutants #98-100, X-Force #1-15, X-Force Annual #1, The New Mutants Annual #7, The Uncanny X-Men Annual #15, X-Factor Annual #6, New Warriors Annual #1, Spider-Man #16, and Cable: Blood and Metal #1-2 all represented in the collection.

The stories include work by Rob Liefeld, Fabian Nicieza, Judy Bogdanove, Len Kaminski, Peter David, Gavin Curtis, Dan Slott, Todd McFarlane, Guang Yap, Mark Bagley, Tom Raney, Terry Shoemaker, Kirk Jarvinen, Jerry deCaire, Steven Butler, Jon Bogdanove, Ernie Stiner, Gavin Curtis, Mike Mignola, Mark Pacella, Sandu Florea, Greg Capullo, John Romita Jr., Dan Panosian, Jeff Albrecht, Joe Rubinstein, Art Nichols, Al Milgrom, Hilary Barta, Donald Hudson, Brad Vancata, Bob Wiacek, and Dan Green.

The New Mutants transform into hip heroes courtesy of their new time-travelling and surly mentor Cable and their grown-up costumes and accessories. The young team would face the much more serious Deadpool, the Morlocks, Proteus, Stryfe and his Mutant Liberation Front, the Juggernaut, the new Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, and even S.H.I.E.L.D. in the early stories, proving once again that mutant life is no cakewalk.

The cool mutants do get some help from Spider-Man, the New Warriors, X-Factor, and the X-Men (primarily in the “Kings of Pain” summer Annual crossover event) along the way.

The X-Force Omnibus consists of 848 pages for a suggested retail price of $100.00 (only one cent more than the 2013 version).
