Things get hairy in Joe Pruett and Marcelo Frusin’s new Viking Moon mini-series from Image Comics this fall.
The five-issue series journeys back to 1003, when Leif Erikson established a Viking settlement in Vneland (present day Newfoundland), full of indigenous people and lycanthropes.
The story opens nearly twenty years after the original expedition ended in disaster, with a new set of Vikings again seeking to tame the land and the beasts that inhabit Vneland.
“Viking Moon is a project I’ve spent several years researching and crafting, waiting to find that special someone who could bring it to life with me,” said Pruett. “To my ultimate pleasure, that someone was Marcelo Frusin! Marcelo is one of the most accomplished artists in industry and one of my personal all-time favorites! Discovering that he had the same passion for our source material (Vikings and Werewolves!) only cemented to me that he was my perfect partner-in-crime for this tale! I think the work he is doing is some of the best of his career. So, if you love Vikings and Werewolves as much as the two of us do, you are in for a treat!”
Viking Moon #1 will be available at your local comic book shop on September 24.
