Original Micronauts writer Bill Mantlo wraps up his four-and-a-half year run on the series in the new The Long and Winding Road Original Marvel Years Epic Collection.
Mantlo is joined by artists Jackson “Butch” Guice, Sam Grainger, Danny Bulanadi, Bruce Patterson, and Kelley Jones in the final issues (#51-59) of the original series before turning over the keys to the Microverse to writer Peter B. Gillis in Micronauts #59.
The Micronauts battle Baron Karza for the fate of Homeworld, along with new teammates Fireflyte and Devil by their side.
Gillis and Jones would continue the adventures of the microscopic team in the Micronauts: The New Voyages series following issue #59.
The first Micronauts Epic Collection was released in July 2025, the second in September, the third in November, and all of the Marvel stories were previously collected in a series of three Omnibus editions.
The Micronauts: The Long and Winding Road Epic Collection consists of 344 pages for a suggested retail price of $42.99.
