The Avengers undergo some major changes in Chip Zdarsky, Frank Alpizar, and Delio Diaz’s Avengers: Armageddon five-issue event series this summer.
Following Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon, Avengers: Armageddon delivers a shakeup of the team that Marvel calls the biggest change from the status quo since Brian Michael Bendis’ Avengers: Disassembled.
Armageddon begins when Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross’ (the Red Hulk) occupation of Doom’s homeland ignites a global conflict that draws the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, Wolverine, and others into an event that changes the trajectory of the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
