The song that encouraged all Marvel Comics readers to be “early risers and good advisers (and never vicious)” is back this July in a special vinyl release from Disney Music Emporium.
The 7″ single (or 45 if you grew up when the record ruled the music industry) is guaranteed to make you feel like you belong, (as the lyrics state: “You’ll belong, you’ll belong, you’ll belong, you’ll belong, to the Merry Marvel Marching Society!”) and is currently available for pre-order before the July 10 release date.
The two-sided single also features the theme song from the 1966 Marvel Comics TV series, The Marvel Super Heroes (composed by Jack Urbont).
According to Disney’s listing, fans can look forward to five more Marvel-related releases, although no information has been provided at this time as to what they may be.
Both tracks have been remastered and cleaned up for the new 7″ record.
The “Merry Marvel Marching Society” song was originally included on the 12″ (one-sided) record which came with the M.M.M.S membership kit.
