1973’s House of Mystery Limited Collector’s Edition (#C-23) will be available in a new facsimile treasury edition this Halloween season.
The over-sized Treasury Edition (10″ x 13″) includes stories such as: “The House of Gargoyles!” (by Jack Oleck and Jack Sparling), “The Secret of the Egyptian Cat” (by Robert Kanigher and Bernie Wrightson), “The Widow’s Walk” (by Howard Post, Neal Adams, and Joe Orlando), “His Name Is… Kane” (by Mike Friedrich, Gil Kane, and Wally Wood), “The Poster Plague!” (by Steve Skeates and Sergio Aragonés), and “Nightmare” (by Kanigher, Adams, and Orlando).
Aragonés also provides a number of activity pages (that people actually used to cut out/remove from their comics) such as a cut-out table-top diorama, a board game activity page, and a roll the lucky dice activity page. Pin-ups and a Behind the Scenes at the House of Mystery article by Orlando (written in the voice of Cain the Caretaker) are also included.
The House of Mystery Limited Collector’s Edition sells for $14.99 (with a foil variant for $16.99) and will be available at your local comic shop on October 8.
