‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ Returns to Theaters for 50th Anniversary

“Don’t dream it”, be there for the rerelease of The Rocky Horror Picture Show!

The musical cult classic returns to theaters with a shiny 4K remastered version for its half-century milestone this September, with screenings throughout October at both the major movie chains and independent theaters.

Check you local listings for showtimes, although Cinemark will start the party “Over at the Frankenstein Place” on Saturday, September 27 at 10:30pm.

The 50th Anniversary will also include a new 4K Ultra remastered steelbook edition that will be released on October 7.

The remastered and restored version will include a new Rocky Horror logo, adding Columbia’s gold top hat to the world-famous lips and the inscribed with “50” in red ink.

Richard O’Brien’s original The Rocky Horror Show also returns to Broadway in the Spring of 2026 after a twenty-six year absence at the Roundabout Theater Company’s Studio 54 theater.

Check out the logo and the poster/4K art below and get ready to throw some rice at your local theater this fall.
