Werwulf may be “a harrowing tale of devotion, damnation, and the devil within”, but after viewing this trailer, we know where we will be on Christmas Day 2026!
Following the same Christmas Day release counter-programming strategy of Nosferatu, the director of modern horror classics such as The Witch and The Lighthouse, gives fans everything that they want in the trailer, featuring dark woods, diabolical pacts with Devil, werewolf transformations, and Willem Dafoe as an odd-looking monster hunter.
Eggers wrote the script with frequent collaborator, Sjón and the film stars other Eggers’ players such as Dafoe, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Lily-Rose Depp, and Ralph Ineson.
Eggers’ Nosferatu was Conskipper’s choice as the best film of 2024.
