Paul Smith’s memorable run with Chris Claremont on the Uncanny X-Men gets a new over-sized Artist’s Edition courtesy of IDW and Marvel Comics.
Paul Smith’s Uncanny X-Men Artist’s Edition Collects The Uncanny X-Men #165-175 and X-Men/Alpha Flight #1-2.
The over-sized (12″ x 17″) book contains high resolution scans of Smith’s original art, featuring all the aspects of a traditional comic book page with blue pencil notations, corrections, margin notes, and every other marking that could be found on the original pages.
Paul Smith’s entire run on the X-books are included, plus all of his original covers and two special foldouts of Marvel Fanfare #4 and X-Men/Alpha Flight #1.
Marvel recently published many of the same issues of Smith’s run(#168-175) in their recent X-Men: God Loves, Man Kills Epic Collection if you are looking for a different (and less expensive) format that contains Smith’s X-Men work.
Paul Smith’s Uncanny X-Men Artist’s Edition consists of 204 black-and-white pages for a suggested retail price of $150.
