Doug Moench and Bill Sienkiewicz’s character-defining (which is a major accomplishment with all of Marc Spector’s reboots over the past 40 years) comes to a close in the re-release of 2018’s Moon Knight: Final Rest Epic Collection.
Final Rest serves as the bookend to the Shadows of the Moon Epic Collection, allowing all of those “moon maniacs” out there to own the entire original series for a fraction of the price of the skyrocketing single issues.
Issues #24-38 (from 1983 to 1984) wrap up the first series with some of Moon Knight’s most infamous adversaries such as Stained Glass Scarlet, the Black Spectre, and Werewolf By Night.
In addition to Moench and Sienkiewicz, a number of other writers and artists complete the first solo series (Sienkiewicz left after #30 and Moench hung on for two more issues as the scripter after his departure) such as Steven Grant, Tony Isabell, and Alan Zelenetz, Kevin Nowlan, Carl Potts, Brent Anderson, Joe Chiodom, Bo Hampton, Bob McLeod, Armando Gil, and Terry Austin.
As we said last month, It is a good time to be a fan of Moon Knight with Disney+’s upcoming Moon Knight series starring Oscar Isaac, a new monthly comic, and a plethora of classic reprint material available.
The Moon Knight: Final Rest Epic Collection will be in stores on February 16 and contains all of the same 488 pages for a new retail price of $44.99.
