Mike Mignola Returns to Sequential Art on ‘Sir Edward Grey: Acheron’

Mike Mignola returns to sequential artwork in December, handling both the writing and illustrating work on Sir Edward Grey: Acheron, a one-shot comic book that takes place following the events of B.P.R.D.: The Devil You Know.

The one-shot is Mignola’s first full-length comic book since Hellboy in Hell in 2016 (and he will continue his cover work on the main cover, with a variant cover by frequent Mignola-verse artist Ben Stenbeck).

Mignola knew that he would eventually return to illustrating a full comic and it it helped that “I’d relocated two of my favorite characters there—Edward Grey and Koshchei the Deathless. I figured the two of them were bound to run into each other (and they will), but first I had an unfinished bit of business for Ed to take care of on his own. It was a real pleasure to dive back into that world, and I look forward to getting back there again before too long.”

Check out both covers below and look for Sir Edward Grey: Acheron on December 1, 2021.
