Black Panther’s Michael B. Jordan has just signed on to help bring Milestone’s Static Shock to the big screen.
Jordan told The Hollywood Reporter that he was “…proud to be a part of building a new universe centered around black superheroes; our community deserves that” He went on to say that his production company, Outlier Society, “… is committed to bringing to life diverse comic book content across all platforms and we are excited to partner with Reggie (Hudlin) and Warner Bros on this initial step.”
Jordan joins Reginald Hudlin as producer on the project. Hudlin (a partner with Milestone Media) will also bring Static back to his comic book home this February with a new Static Shock digital series and a Static Shock graphic novel by Hudlin and artist Kyle Baker in the future.
