Marvel continues to add content to Disney+ in the realms of scripted television series as well as documentary features. Marvel’s latest entry is the documentary special, Marvel’s Behind the Mask, which will debut on Friday, February 12.
According to the official press release, the documentary will explore the identities of various Marvel characters through the lens of civil and equal rights and these characters “…impact on pop culture and media.” Marvel’s Behind the Mask will highlight characters “…from across Marvel’s 80-year legacy, including the writers and artists behind the rise of characters like Black Panther, Miles Morales, Ms. Marvel, Luke Cage, the X-Men, Captain Marvel, and many other characters…”
Marvel’s Behind the Mask comes on the heels of Marvel’s 616 series which explored very aspects of the history and world of Marvel Comics through the unique lens of a number of directors.
