If it’s October, you can expect to find another Man-Thing Marvel Masterworks volume on the shelves at your local comic shop!
Following up on last year’s inaugural Marvel Masterworks Man-Thing release, Marvel Masterworks: The Man-Thing Vol. 2 collects The Man-Thing #2-14, Giant Size Man-Thing #1-2 and a Man-Thing story from Monsters Unleashed #5.
All stories are written by Steve Gerber and Tony Isabella, with art by Mike Ploog, Val Mayerik, John Buscema, Alfredo Alcala, Vincente Alcazar, Sal Tarpani, Jack Abel, Frank Chiaramonte, Klaus Janson, and Tom Sutton.
The classic Marvel Monster Bronze Age comics have never looked better in the prestige Marvel Masterworks format, featuring all the messy horror you can handle (especially when the Man-Thing and the Glob duke it out in all their Giant-Size glory).
Other highlights include cult favorite The Foolkiller’s debut, Man-Thing’s examination by Reed Richards to find out if there is still a man inside all the muck, and a battle with the ghostly pirate (and surprisingly frequent foe) Captain Fate.
Volume 2 also includes a new introduction by J.M. DeMatteis.
Marvel Masterworks: The Man-Thing Vol. 2 consists of 360 pages for a suggested retail price of $75.00.
